Delete your PROOF account
Policy proof-1.5.0-legal-v1 · Effective 2026-09-17
You can request deletion of your PROOF account and associated data from this page without reinstalling the app. This process concerns PROOF; it does not delete your Google account.
Request deletion without the app
Email a PROOF account deletion request
Send the request from your account email when possible, and identify the PROOF account you want deleted. Do not send passwords, MFA codes, recovery codes, access tokens or copies of evidence that are not needed to identify the request.
Email requests are handled manually through the support channel. A sent email is a request, not confirmation that deletion is complete.
Delete from the app
- Sign in to the PROOF account you want to delete.
- Open Settings and choose Delete account.
- Read the explanation, confirm the request, verify the same account when prompted, and choose the final deletion action.
- Wait for the completion result. If deletion is incomplete or local cleanup is pending, follow the displayed retry instructions or contact support.
The app requires recent account verification. An uncompleted request is not reported as fully deleted. Uninstalling the app or clearing its local data does not replace this process.
What is removed and what can remain
The process deletes the PROOF sign-in account, profile and social connections, Avatar/City records and uploaded evidence files. It removes identifying goal text, evidence links and evidence notes. Cached data on the device completing deletion is cleaned up through the app's account cleanup process.
Economic and review history can remain under replacement identifiers so records involving other users remain consistent. Deletion/retry digests and security/moderation records can remain. The administrator's immutable ownership binding is retained. These retained records are not described as automatically anonymous or automatically expired.
